Anand Kumar is the Managing Director of STMicroelectronics (ST), India, and has held this place since June 2025. He heads the World IP and Library Design workforce, positioned throughout France and India, inside ST’s World Expertise R&D group. Kumar’s workforce takes IPs from idea to manufacturing maturity and brings variants over time, throughout the complete portfolio of ST’s proprietary, differentiated applied sciences and expertise platforms.
Anand Kumar started his profession in 1999 as an Analog Designer in ST’s Central R&D group. With over 25 years of expertise as a designer, design workforce lead, and international lead of IP design, he has deep experience in designing Analog and Combined-Sign IPs and main high-performing IP and Library Design groups delivering a variety of IPs. These embody reminiscences, IOs, customary cells, clock-generation IPs, knowledge converters, sensors, power-management IPs, fuses, and different analog and digital IPs throughout all ST expertise nodes.
Kumar holds greater than 20 patents and has introduced at a number of top-tier worldwide scientific and technical semiconductor conferences.
Anand Kumar was born in Narwana (Haryana state), India, in 1976, and holds a level in Electronics and Communication Engineering from NSUT (Netaji Subhas College of Expertise, previously Delhi Institute of Expertise), Delhi.
