Silicon Valley tech execs are becoming a member of the US Military Reserve


Chief expertise officers (CTOs) from corporations, together with Palantir, Meta, and OpenAI, are taking part-time roles within the U.S. Military Reserve.

In October, the U.S. Protection Division put out the decision to high Silicon Valley expertise to take high-ranking positions within the U.S. Military Reserve so they might periodically be tapped for short-term initiatives in areas like knowledge and cybersecurity, The Wall Avenue Journal reported on the time.

Now, eight months later, Silicon Valley is reporting for obligation.

The preliminary cohort of this program will embody the CTOs of Meta and Palantir, Andrew Bosworth and Shyam Sankar, respectively, as initially reported by The Wall Avenue Journal.
