Claire chatted to Kirstin Petersen from Cornell College about how robots can work collectively to realize complicated behaviours.

Kirstin Petersen is an Affiliate Professor within the Faculty of Electrical and Laptop Engineering at Cornell College. Her lab, the Collective Embodied Intelligence Lab, is targeted on design and coordination of robotic collectives in a position to obtain complicated behaviors past the attain of a person, and corresponding research on how social bugs accomplish that in nature.  Petersen did her postdoc on the Max Planck Institute for Clever Programs and her PhD at Harvard College and the Wyss Institute for Biologically Impressed Engineering.
