Microsoft provides Steam video games to its Xbox PC app on Home windows

Microsoft is beginning to check its new aggregated gaming library in its Xbox PC app on Home windows. Xbox Insiders will now have the ability to see their Steam and Battle.internet video games all inside the Xbox app — making it a single launcher for many put in PC video games.

This new consolidated library will roll out to the Xbox app later this 12 months, in addition to new units just like the ROG Xbox Ally handhelds. It’s a part of Microsoft’s efforts to make the Xbox app on Home windows the house of PC gaming and compete with Steam and SteamOS by combining Home windows and Xbox.

“When a participant installs a sport from a supported PC storefront, it’s going to mechanically seem in ‘My library’ inside the Xbox PC app, in addition to the ‘Most up-to-date’ record of titles within the sidebar — making it simpler than ever to leap again into your video games,“ explains Manisha Oza, product supervisor of the Xbox platform. Microsoft says help for added PC storefronts will roll out over time.

If you wish to check out the brand new aggregated library within the Xbox app on Home windows, you may merely obtain the Xbox Insider Hub on PC and be part of the PC gaming preview. You can too handle the visibility of video games by hiding any PC storefront within the Library & Extensions part of the Xbox app settings.
