I simply wished to replace my x86_64
model of brew. I’ve run this for greater than two years now with none points. I wished to replace as we speak, however the folders /usr/native/embody
and /usr/native/lib
are owned by root
and brew improve
fails. There are some studies about this, however probably not a motive, why this occurs. My Mac is owned by me, so not any firm or no matter. The answer needs to be fairly simple since brew
already provides it:
sudo chown -R [me] /usr/native/embody /usr/native/lib
chmod u+w /usr/native/embody /usr/native/lib
First, is it secure to run these instructions?
And second, what may have modified it? The one factor that is additionally owned by root
in /usr/native
is /usr/native/texlive
. May texlive have set these permissions? And in that case, why?
