How you can debug Shortcuts Automation

I’m comparatively new to Shortcuts: I’ve one used routinely on my Mac, and now I wish to do one thing on iPhone: I wish to share a Pockets transaction information with a web-site (utilizing POST name).

To begin with, I created a shortcut automation that’s supposed to place transaction information in a dictionary and show that dictionary. It form of works, however I’m dealing with two blocking points:

  1. With one of many two playing cards I’ve added to my Pockets, the automation would not run in any respect. I get a notification that “Shortcuts Automation failed. encountered an error: There was an issue operating the automation.” Once I click on this notification, it simply opens Shortcuts, so I can edit the automation, however I do not see what triggered the error.
  2. With the second card, the automation runs, however I get seemingly mistaken values in my dictionary. E.g. quantity is all the time zero, so I most likely use transaction information incorrectly.

I ponder: is there any method to:

  • debug an automation, i.e. having the ability to step by the automation after I’ve paid with a Pockets, and see what is occurring at every step, together with all “variable” values;
  • allow some form of log, the place I may see what occurred when Shortcuts tried to run my automation, together with any extra detailed error messages?

Generally, is there a methods to work on extra advanced automations? Particularly with Transactions, which I can’t execute with out truly shopping for one thing.
