A connector is a bridge between ChatGPT and an exterior app like Canva, Dropbox, and Gmail, enabling customers to attach these apps to ChatGPT so as to work with them throughout the ChatGPT interface. Entry to the Google apps isn’t automated; it must be manually enabled by customers.
This entry was first made accessible to Professional customers, and now it has been rolled out to Plus subscribers.

This functionality is a part of GPT-5 and can start rolling out to Professional customers globally this week, adopted by Plus, Workforce, Enterprise, and Edu plans within the coming weeks. To allow, go to Settings → Connectors→ Join on the appliance.”
