Antenna-matching ICs minimize RF design complexity

ST gives three antenna-matching companion chips for STM32WL33 wi-fi MCUs to assist streamline the event of IoT, good metering, and distant monitoring programs. The MLPF-WL-01D3, MLPF-WL-02D3, and MLPF-WL-04D3 combine impedance matching and harmonic filtering on a single glass substrate to spice up RF efficiency.

By integrating antenna safety, matching, and filtering, the gadgets simplify RF routing, enhance reliability, and cut back BOM price by changing a number of discrete parts. The three Sequence 3 chips shall be joined by 4 new variants, supporting radio optimization throughout high-band (826–958 MHz) and low-band (413–479 MHz) ranges, high-power (16/20 dBm) and low-power (10 dBm) modes, and 2-layer or 4-layer PCB designs.

The MLPF-WL-01D3, MLPF-WL-02D3, and MLPF-WL-04D3 antenna-matching ICs can be found now in 5-bump chip-scale packages, priced from $0.15 every in 1000-unit portions. Launch dates for the extra variants weren’t out there on the time of this announcement.
