Growth package permits low-power presence detection

SPARK’s Presence Detection Package (PDK), powered by the SR1120 LE-UWB transceiver, delivers low-power, sturdy sensing for related units. Its low-energy ultra-wideband (LE-UWB) know-how helps designers overcome the excessive energy consumption and interference challenges of Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, and traditional UWB.

LE-UWB helps unidirectional and bidirectional communication, ultra-low-power beaconing with configurable detection zones, and line-of-sight Time-of-Flight (ToF) measurement for exact proximity and distance sensing. SPARK reviews that its LE-UWB know-how consumes over 10× much less energy (30 µW at 4 Hz) than Bluetooth/BLE beaconing and delivers greater than 20× greater energy effectivity than normal UWB.

SPARK gives an energy-optimized firmware stack for presence detection, together with APIs for beaconing, ranging, knowledge transmission, and OTA firmware updates. Reference {hardware} kits, demo functions, and GUIs permit engineers to guage detection efficiency, modify detection zones, and speed up prototyping. The PDK {hardware} is chosen to optimize efficiency, energy, and price, and integrates throughout a broad vary of MCUs and software program architectures.
