The Tesla Semi was my favourite Tesla car when it was launched. It might reduce emissions a lot, and it seems cool. Sadly, we’re now approaching the 8-year anniversary of that car’s unveiling! The Tesla Semi was launched on November 16, 2017. Unquestionably, it has taken for much longer for this car to get to mass manufacturing than most of us thought and hoped. The man whose concept it was and who led this system, Jerome Guillen, has lengthy left Tesla — reportedly, due to the Semi not being prioritized and mass manufacturing being delayed indefinitely.

Nonetheless, now, it appears Tesla is almost able to scale up manufacturing and really get these on the highway as initially introduced.

“Cybercab, Tesla Semi and Megapack 3 are on schedule for quantity manufacturing beginning in 2026,” Tesla wrote in its third quarter report for shareholders. Within the car manufacturing capability desk, Tesla indicated that the manufacturing unit was below development, and Elon Musk reiterated that on the decision.

Elsewhere within the report, Tesla acknowledged: “V4 superchargers allow 500kW charging for passenger autos and 1,200kW charging for Tesla Semi, enabling the quickest charging time for vans within the U.S.”

A fan situated close to the manufacturing unit has additionally snapped some footage of the manufacturing unit’s progress and shared them this week.

It seems that the outside of the manufacturing unit is almost finished.

So, in the end, the Tesla Semi might actually be coming to market! Yoohoo.
