Twin-core MCUs drive motor-control effectivity

RA8T2 MCUs from Renesas combine twin processors for real-time motor management in superior manufacturing unit automation and robotics. They pair a 1-GHz Arm Cortex-M85 core with an elective 250-MHz Cortex-M33 core, combining high-speed operation, massive reminiscence, timers, and analog capabilities on a single chip.

The Cortex-M85 with Helium expertise accelerates DSP and machine-learning workloads, enabling AI capabilities that predict motor upkeep wants. In dual-core variants, the embedded Cortex-M33 separates real-time management from general-purpose duties to additional improve system efficiency.

RA8T2 units combine as much as 1 MB of MRAM and a pair of MB of SRAM, together with 256 KB of TCM for the Cortex-M85 and 128 KB of TCM for the Cortex-M33. For top-speed networking in manufacturing unit automation, they provide a number of interfaces, reminiscent of two Gigabit Ethernet MACs with DMA and a two-port EtherCAT slave. A 32-bit, 14-channel timer delivers PWM performance as much as 300 MHz.

The RA8T2 sequence of MCUs is accessible now by means of Renesas and its distributors.
