I work as cell app dev. Our growth machine is 256 GB Macbook M2. On account of safety causes, our accounts is non-admin so putting in some apps or tweaking some macOS settings to make debugging simpler is inconceivable with out admin entry. Which is finally confirmed to be a bit annoying.
256 GB for cell app dev is a bit restricted, so I am pondering to put in Xcode and iOS simulators on exterior disk. The exterior disk is not arrived but, so first I strive putting in XCode on one other folder, say ~/Apps
. Downloded the Xcode_16.2.xip and extract it to that folder. Thus far it really works. Now let’s attempt to set up iOS simulator
Ouch. Cannot set up it with out admin entry. And to save lots of area, positively will take away the simulator if it is not wanted. Is there a.. um "simple" method to do it as non-admin person? Maybe by giving me particular permission simply to handle the XCode set up myself?
